Frequently Asked Questions

HELP

Most of the Mr Delivery Web Site is menu or options driven and therefore following prompts that are offered is the best way to get around our site however … sometimes things are not as obvious as they appear to be and at least some HELP or clarification is needed.  This is where this section will come in handy (we hope!).

We hope to include an FAQ (frequently asked questions) section in the near future when we have had some feedback from our customers.  Until that happens this section should guide you over most problems you may encounter.

`Your Postcode'

If you wish to browse our site to see if we deliver to your area, which restaurants are available in your area etc. without supplying your details, see the `Enter Postcode'. Enter your postcode in the `Postcode' field, and a list will be returned. Of course, if you wish to go on to order then you will need to supply us with your relevant details before you can place an order.

Instructions for Ordering Food from this Site

Either you are a new customer or you have choosed a login ID and password in your previous visit.

1.   `New Customers'

After entering your postcode you will see a list of restaurant which are available in your area. Click on a restaurant and order your food, then you will be asked for detail contact information.  Please be as thorough and accurate as you can be in this section because the better the details you supply, the easier it is to find you when we deliver your food and the easier it is to contact you if the need arises.

You MUST supply details for those boxes with red text to the left of them.   If you do not complete all of these or accidentally forget to fill one of them in, then the registration page will be display a warning message and you will be prompted for the missing details (those boxes which still have red text appearing to the left of them are those to be filled in).

Obviously while you are ordering from us on the net, you are using at least one phone line.  If you are planning to stay connected on the net after you have placed your order then we need your e-mail address or an alternative phone/fax number to contact you if the need arises.  If you are expecting an e-mail response then whichever program you use to receive mail should be ready to receive that mail (and notify you that it has arrived).  If you provide a mobile phone number for us to contact you, please ensure that it is left on until your food arrives.

N.B.  Your postcode is most important as it determines which area's restaurants are displayed for your selection.  Please ensure that you have this information accurate before finalizing your order.

In Checkout page  you can see the "Additional notes" box which is there for you to supply any delivery `hints' you think might help us find you more easily  eg. `Opposite St. Lukes Church' or `Enter via Smith St.'

When you have completed registering, click on the `Proceed to Checkout' button at the bottom of the screen and you will now see the Checkout page.  Your contact information and `Delivery Details' are there on that page and you can click on `Send Order Now!' to submit your order.

2.  `Registered Customers'

First enter your login name and password and click the `Enter' button near the password box.  Your `Personal Details' page should then be displayed for you to double check and modify if appropriate (click on `submit' button when finished).

3.  `Restaurants'

As mentioned erlier, after entering your postcode you will see a list of restaurant. This page will tell you which restaurants are available in your area for you to order from and the times they are open (on the actual night which you are ordering on).  Some restaurants may have `Closed on ...days' next to them indicating that they are not open for orders on the night in question.  Most cuisines in our book are usually offered by more than one restaurant so if `your' restaurant is shut for the night then please try an alternative selection (or in the case of there being only one restaurant offering the cuisine you seek - try an alternative cuisine!)

On the bottom of the page you will see some information on delivery charges and fees which apply your delivery.  For more detail on these charges, please see the `About Us' page, accessible from our Home Page.

To view a restaurant's menu, click on it's name and you should find yourself on the `Menu Items' page from which you can select your food.

N.B.  If an `Temporary Closed' message comes up on the screen, this is due to a particularly large demand for deliveries in your area at the time of your ordering.  We sometimes find it necessary to stop taking orders for that area for some period of time until any backlog of orders already made can be processed.  We do apologies for any inconvenience if this happens and recommend that you try back again approximately 20-30 minutes after this.

4.  `Menu Items'

This page will be displayed automatically upon selection of a restaurant from the list above.  Some restaurant's menu are longer than others and may require some time to load completely (depending on the hardware that you are using).  Please be patient and note that you can start making selections before the entire page is loaded but you cannot submit your order until it finishes.

Items are ordered by placing a number in the `Qty' (quantity) box next to every item you wish to order.  Prices for each item are displayed below this and a total for your order is displayed on the next screen after ALL items have been selected and the `Proceed ' button clicked.

If you want to search for a  particular item from the menu you can press CTRL + F (Which means hold down the `Ctrl' key on your keyboard and while still holding it down, hit the `F' key) and enter a keyword.  This will help you to find the particular dish or item you seek.

N.B.  At the bottom of this screen is a box labelled `Special Requirements' .  This should be used for any specifications you may have for a given dish or dishes  eg. no anchovies on a pizza etc.  It is very important that you make a reference to the item number (in the red boxes to the left of the dish names) of the dish(es) you wish to alter or define.  This box should also be used to `link' possibly disparate elements of a dish together:

eg.  When ordering more than one pasta dish from a menu which asks you to choose your            sauce and pasta separately, note in the `Special Requirements' box: `Item 24 (Penne)            with Item 30 (Bolognese Sauce)'

When you have selected the items you want, click on the `Submit' button just below the `Special Requirements' box at the bottom of the page.

If you browse the items in a menu and find that you do not want to order from the restaurant you selected after all, click the `Back' button on your web browser to select an alternative restaurant.

5.  ' Alcohol and Drinks' & Finalising Order

After you have chosen your items and clicked `Submit' , you may see the Alcohol and drinks menu page depending on your area.  This is your opportunity to include any alcohol and drinks you may wish to order with your meal.  You may leave it blank or order some of them and proceed to next page.

ALL ALCOHOL PICK-UPS REQUIRE A VALID CREDIT CARD

After submitting your order (Which may include drinks or not) you will see the preliminary invoice. You can change the quantity of any items of your order and see the calculated total price. When you are happy with your order, click on the `Proceed' button, check your order and address/contact details again and finally send it to us.  Whew! - that wasn't so difficult was it?
